A Guide to Spring Wildflowers
The Tehachapi Mountains and surrounding areas including parts of Tejon Ranch often explode with color in the spring when the right climatic conditions occur. The wildflower displays are among the most spectacular in California, drenching hills and valleys as early as mid-March with patches often lingering into June and July.
Tejon Ranch is pleased to share this important part of the area’s history by providing A Guide to Spring Wildflowers, a collection of photos and information about the different wildflowers.
Recently, Tejon Ranch celebrated its 160th anniversary with an announcement of plans to permanently preserve up to 100,000 acres of sensitive ranch habitat lands. The spring wildflowers are just one part of the rich legacy that the ranch seeks to preserve so future generations also can experience what is enjoyed today.
